ABOUT US

Ethical Merch Co is a part of the Concierge Contacts PTY LTD Group.

We have been trading since 2003, and in 2011, started Sports Apparel Australia.

Approximately 5 years ago, as strong adherents to corporate social responsibility, we moved towards ensuring all our supply chains were ethical and audited. So now, we are on a journey to ensuring our supply chain is audited against:

  • modern slavery
  • child labour
  • human exploitation

And are accountable when it comes to environmental and sustainability ethics.

Many of our clients’ values are congruent with ours, so they use our services knowing their products are coming from an ethical source. An ethical supply chain is often more important to their brand than price or any other procurement factors.

We have 4 other trading companies:

Our office and warehouse are based in Castle Hill NSW, however we service clients nationally and internationally through distributors or sales executives.

OUR BELIEFS

Our beliefs, morals and ethics are of the highest standard throughout the organisation. All our dealings are trustworthy and honest and we value and treat all stakeholders – internal and external the same high level of respect and honour.

We believe we are called on this earth to make a difference to others.

We partner with many organisations that are equally yoked and have the same belief system as ours. When dealing with us you can be sure that integrity is of premium importance.

Ethical Trading A21

A21- AWARENESS AGAINST SLAVERY

A21 is a nonprofit organisation fueled by radical hope that human beings everywhere will be rescued from bondage and completely restored. They are the abolitionists of the 21st century. They work with you to free slaves and disrupt the demand.

We partner with A21 in believing in a world without slavery. For 10 years now, they have rolled up their sleeves and set their feet to action. Why? Because in a single moment a number can turn into a name, a tragedy into a victory, and a belief into an action.

Freedom. That's A21's goal for every human being on the planet.

i58- Faith & Hope Cazuca, South Bogotá, Colombia

We support the i58 Movement - and in particular, project Faith & Hope Cazuca, South Bogotá, Colombia.

i58 is a movement of people committed to loving our neighbour through actions. Every person carries immense worth we believe injustice of any kind should never be a normal situation for anyone.  So, when we see others suffering oppression, poverty and pain we step in.

We believe love is a verb comprised of both words and actions. Therefore, if we talk about love but don´t act on it, our speech is void.

Love should be demonstrated.

PROJECT: "FAITH AND HOPE" CAZUCA, South Bogotá, Colombia
Building Peace, Re-Building Hope.
Cazuca is a slum located in the south of Bogota. It is mainly populated with people displaced as a result of Colombia's internal war. This is an area that the government has completely abandoned: no roads, no schools, no hospitals, no sanitation, no water. It's population live in extreme poverty. This school was originally founded by teacher Nelson Pajaro for children from displaced families, however he was forced to flee the area after local criminal gangs threatened to kill him & his family if he continued the work. As a result, the school was left abandoned for 2 years & the students were left without any access to education. The children were left to wander the streets, often alone, & they became an even greater target for organised crime groups who use them for drug & gun trafficking as well as sexual exploitation. By reopening this school, i58 is providing education to children who otherwise cannot access schooling as well as offering one of the only healthy & safe places available to children in this area. One of our future goals goals is to develop trades-based training programs to teenagers so students will be equipped to find stable employment. All of our funding comes from the generous support of people who also share our heart for the children of Cazuca. To fully set up the school, complete repairs & enable it to operate efficiently we do need further support.
